Auto body parts should be differentiated from auto parts. The more general category of car parts includes the more specific category of auto body parts. When you think of auto body parts think of the exterior of the car.

Auto body parts include bumpers, fenders, and lights. These parts are most easily damaged in a car accident. Therefore, they are less often included under warranty. Still, if you have good insurance coverage you don't necessarily have to pay out of pocket if you've damaged them.

Newer auto body parts can be bought at retail stores. Parts that are more than 10 years old are harder to find. You may need to visit a junkyard to get a replacement
